Portland has always been home for me—I'm a third-generation dentist with deep roots in this community. I met my wife at summer camp when we were kids, and now we’re raising our three children here in the Pacific Northwest. When I’m not in the office, you’ll find me outdoors, coaching my kids’ sports teams, or dedicating time to Smile Oregon—a nonprofit I founded to support families affected by cleft and craniofacial conditions. Giving back is part of who I am, and I’m grateful to serve my community both in and out of the office.

I know firsthand how life-changing orthodontic treatment can be—I was a patient myself! The confidence I gained from my own transformation inspired me to help others achieve the same. I’m dedicated to making Invisalign and braces accessible to all families, ensuring no one feels limited by circumstance when seeking care. At Garfinkle Orthodontics, I combine cutting-edge treatment with a warm, patient-first approach, helping every smile reach its full potential.

Originally from Arkansas, I’ve embraced the Pacific Northwest as home. My husband, Trey, and I have three amazing children, and we love spending time outdoors, exploring Portland, and staying active as a family. Giving back is a core value of mine, and I’m dedicated to expanding access to orthodontic care for underserved communities. Whether through education, outreach, or hands-on treatment, I believe everyone deserves the confidence that comes with a healthy smile.

The mission of Smile Oregon is to ensure every child in Oregon affected by a cleft or other craniofacial condition has access to the coordinated care they deserve by providing support, awareness, and education. Dr. Garfinkle co-founded the organization in 2008 and serves on the Board of Directors.
