Emily Englund
Position: Office Manager and Treatment Coordinator
I joined the Garfinkle Orthodontics team in April of 2008, bringing with me seven years of practice management experience. I feel truly fortunate to have such wonderful people to work with everyday. Doctors, staff and patients make coming to work feel more like a hobby than a job! When you come to our practice you will spend time with me on your first visit as I help guide you into the orthodontic treatment that the Doctor recommends. I was born and raised in Oregon but lived for seven years in Phoenix, AZ before coming back to the Northwest. It is good to be home! My husband, Kris, and I live in Beaverton with our little white schnauzer named Oliver. I enjoy going to the ballet as well as watching and playing tennis. I look forward to meeting you at your first visit and getting to watch your smile transform.

Cheryl Lawrence
Position: Communications Coordinator
I found Garfinkle Orthodontics as a parent looking for an orthodontist for my sons, Daniel and Mason. I knew very quickly that it was exactly the place for my boys to begin their treatment and the environment I wanted to begin my career in the dental field. I am looking forward to providing the kind of excellent patient care that I would want for my own children. I grew up outside of Austin Texas and moved to the Northwest eleven years ago, living both in San Francisco and Portland. I enjoy spending time outdoors both hiking the Gorge or at the beach with family, friends and my dog Ollie (the Havaneese).

Jamie Allfrey
Position: Financial Coordinator
I love all phases of dentistry and have been in some facet of the field since I was 16 years old. I began my career as a chairside assistant in general practice, and then spent 3 ½ years working for a local insurance company reviewing complicated claims and educating dental offices on proper billing. Since June of 2011, I have really enjoyed being a part of the Garfinkle Orthodontics team and using my experience to help each one of our patients maximize their insurance benefits and achieve their orthodontic goals.
I moved to Oregon from the Bay Area in the summer of 2006 and fell in love with its vibrant, green springs and summers, colorful falls and surprise winter snow days. My husband and I enjoy it so much we decided to start our family here and had our first baby girl, Abigail Violet, on November 30, 2011. I really appreciate the flexibility that working at GO provides and am taking advantage of my days off exploring this beautiful city with my little girl. I also enjoy hiking with my family, cooking, baking, all kinds of crafting and good wine.

Position: Clinical Coordinator
I joined the Garfinkle Orthodontics family in August 2011. I feel so lucky to have found an office that has such a talented and friendly team. Also, having such wonderful patients makes this job very special. I started my orthodontic career in Scottsdale, AZ in 1999 and still absolutely love what I do. After all these years in orthodontics I am continuing to learn new things daily from the Doctors here. I moved to Sherwood July 2011 with my husband Robert and my two kids Lillian 15 and Sterling 13 from Seattle, WA. We really love this beautiful state. I enjoy exploring Oregon with my family and spending time with our new puppy Manhattan born 9.11.11. I look forward to meeting you and seeing you smile.

Position: Orthodontic Assistant
I love orthodontics and believe it is a great way to help people feel better about themselves and their smiles. I look forward to coming to work -- learning from the doctors, interacting with our patients, and creating beautiful smiles. I am a native of Salem, Oregon and have worked in orthodontics since 2003. I like to keep busy outside of work with my son, Dylan, and my numerous hobbies -- including skiing, wakeboarding, photography, and travel. On November 25, 2011, Whitney married Greg Englund.

Lanae Keyser
Position: Orthodontic Assistant
I became part of the Garfinkle Orthodontics team in June of 2011, however I have been working as an orthodontic clinical assistant since February of 2005. I enjoy using the knowledge and experience that I have gained over the past many years to treat our patients with expert care and exceptional compassion. As an orthodontic patient twice in my past, I appreciate what it feels like to be the patient. I love being part of the team at Garfinkle Orthodontics! It’s a place where everyone, including our patients, are treated like family!
I grew up in Ridgecrest, CA, which is a very small town in the Mojave Desert then moved to Portland in January of 2005. I married my husband, Cody, on September 11th, 2011. We have two dogs, Brooklyn and Mallory, who we love and treat like our children. When we have the time, we love to travel to Hawaii where we can relax, enjoy the warm sun, and live life in paradise. I love it here at Garfinkle Orthodontics! It’s a place where everyone, including you, is treated like family!

Mike Lasich
Position: Orthodontic Assistant
I have been part of the Garfinkle Orthodontic family since June of 2011. I began my career as an orthodontic clinical assistant in 2004. What I love most about being part of the practice here at Garfinkle Orthodontics is that it allows me to continue learning new things, while using my current expertise to provide the best possible service to our patients. I am a native of Portland, OR and live here with my wife Aimee and my 7 year old son, Easton. In my free time I enjoy many outdoor activities and spending time with my family. A dream of mine is to watch a Red Sox game at Fenway Park while sitting on top of the “Green Monster”. I look forward to watching your smile transform.
